Dog Training before you can teach your dog tricks

As I have mentioned teaching your dog tricks in easy once you have control over your dog.  So to do this you must have a fully obedient dog. I know this might sound hard but believe me it is not, you can pick up many books on basic dog obedience, or take your dog to obedience classes. Classes are good as your dog gets to socialize as well which is fantastic. Any way back to Dog obedience or Dog Training as many like to call it. Your dog should at least be able to do the basic commands before you even contemplate teaching it some tricks, sit, stay, down, come and heal.

You know when you have an obedient dog life with your dog is so wonderful, my beloved dog Anzac is just so obedient it is such a joy to have him around. Even our friends and family love having him around and he is a 35kg Long Haired German Shepherd. He was trained very early on and now at 8 years old he is still so obedient and just a joy to be with. I love walking him and the kids love him and are not scared of him because they know we have control of him and at the drop of a hat if I say ‘DOWN’ he will drop to the floor, if he runs around at the park and I see he is getting too far away I can yell out him name and just do a hand signal for ‘COME’ and he will be by my side as quick as a flash.
So before you try and start teaching your dog tricks make sure he/she is trained.
